Upcoming Events:

Slow Food Edmonton Book Club

Our Goal:

To meet regularly and casually, and to provide a forum to discuss slow food.

Modus Operandi:

* You can come once, or every time.
* You can come late, leave early, whatever.
* You can bring a plate of local delicacies. Or not.
* You can have read the book and made notes, or you can come to hear what others thought of the book.
* You may be required to pitch in some change to cover room hire.
* You will be required to pay for your drinks/food if it is at a place of business.
* Two categories each time – fiction and non-fiction.

How to prepare:

1. Read either the fiction or non-fiction book of your choice.
2. Think of one topic of discussion relevant to Slow Food and write it on a small piece of paper.
3. Come along! Bring the book/your notes and the little bit of paper.

Note re: the chosen time 5:30-7:30 – Of course, this is up for discussion. It is much easier for Transcend to host at this time because they can just flow on from normal business (thanks, Chad!). If you are going to be late, don’t worry, our book club fun probably wont ramp up until 6pm anyway! Finishing at 7:30 means you can get home for dinner (or go out!).
