Slow Food Edmonton Member Gail Hall
Gail Hall is a food activist and consultant who regularly speaks and presents at conferences and conventions in Alberta. She is also the owner of Seasoned Solutions’ Loft Cooking School, and past owner of an award winning catering company, Gourmet Goodies.
First and foremost, Gail’s business endeavours have always focused on the use of local and regional Alberta ingredients. She also organizes and hosts culinary tours that expose participants to the culture of an area through understanding its food and traditions. She has taken groups to Santa Fe, Louisiana, Seattle, Italy, New Zealand, and France. The 2009 itinerary includes tours of Chicago, Greece and Turkey.
Gail is the weekly food columnist for CBC Edmonton AM radio, regularly presents cooking demonstrations on Breakfast TV and CTV Edmonton and at annual events such as the EPICurean Food & Wine Festival, and Christmas in November: two events held at the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge. In her spare time, Gail teaches cooking for Metro Continuing Education. She is one of Slow Food’s staunchest supporters.
